This Deep Listening® Retreat is facilitated by writer/director & dream specialist, IONE, and performer/choreographer and master Tai Chi Instructor HELOISE GOLD, both founding instructors (alongside Pauline Oliveros) of Deep Listening® Retreats and the Deep Listening® Certification Program. JENNIFER WILSEY, Deep Listening® Certificate instructor with The Center for Deep Listening at Rensselaer, and Musicianship Program Director at Mills College joins them as guest facilitator.
Heloise and Ione are excited to be sourcing this special retreat—accessing the 27-year long body of DL Retreat teachings developed with Pauline and imparting essences of their joyful creative partnership. They are thrilled to have Jennifer, who has worked closely with Pauline in recent years, joining them to assist in the process. The retreat will take place at a beautiful and peaceful Sonoma County, California meditation center. Pauline and Ione loved being at Ratna Ling where they facilitated a special DL Intensive in 2012. http://ratnaling.org/. The retreat will include practices drawn from Deep Listening: A composer's sound practice, Deeply Listening Body, and Listening in Dreams from the three founding instructors. As 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the first Deep Listening Certificate Ceremony, we will celebrate and commence an oral history project to share memories, both poignant and hilarious. Deep Listening® Certification, Workshops and Retreats are programs of the Center for Deep Listening at Rensselaer. www.deeplistening.rpi.edu Attendance at this retreat on inquiry may be applied towards the Deep Listening® Certification program.
