Spirit Rising 2 - BEARA - 2019
Waking in the middle of the night
To the sound of rain and wind and sea, Remembering the green beetle On a slab of rock, ripe With nature's debris, Picked by sundry women Who sang silence back to life. Remembering stones and flowers Laid inlassablement on the hillsides of Ireland To make sacred geometry, Swept away by a mischievous spirit, And in the dark, fairy lights. Remembering the red berries on the yew Calling to dead unborn babies And the spirals of infinite time. A bright blue rose echoing Three generations of Rosemarys and Rosies That rose in all their glory, Never looking back. Remembering potatoes and rosewater Subtly making magic. And remembering the hag Who every hundred years Immerses in the ocean For another hundred years of life, Until the dog barks. The stories carry the woven dreams We had in Dzogchen Beara At the first new moon after the equinox With Eagle, Otter, and One-Eyed Salmon. Be blessed. Till we meet again, Sylvie |
