A Kingston, New York-centered community engagement and education initiative to continue the work and teachings of composer and Kingston resident Pauline Oliveros.
​Deep Listening is a listening practice that heightens awareness of sound and sounding, distinguishing the difference between listening and hearing.

Deep Listening Plaza on Broadway in Midtown Kingston provides a unique green space in the midst of the urban city environment  for community engagement, featuring “Ear Centered” activities and events that foster new ways of listening.   Balancing education and entertainment, scheduled  as well as impromptu sonic presentations, public art installations, pop up performance art happenings, Deep Listening Workshops and concerts will take place throughout the year without charge.
