We are living it!
As we give attention to the exploration of the Dream of Reality and the Reality of the Dream, previously constricted places in our minds and spirits open and our inherent aliveness is enhanced. Dreams are a serious part of our lives. As humans of all cultures and ages and all animals dream---they are, indeed, our deepest form of democracy.
Dream Awareness is a form of attention- a form of listening, that when incorporated into our daily living processes, enables us to lead more authentic lives. Dream Community finds us sharing dreams with each other and noticing the true feelings that are always present, no matter how odd the stories and symbols.
Western culture has marginalized dreams for centuries, and consequently we humans have found ourselves more and more out of balance.
Developing addictions to mind altering substances may be a way for whole populations to compensate for a dearth of dreaming awareness.
As the Novel CoronaVirus 19 has spread, a new awareness of dreams has been reported throughout the world. As gentle animals began to take spaces again in cities and fish returned to the canals of Venice, space was being made in the psyches of millions.
Perhaps this can be understood as a healing- a rebalancing of our intrinsic nature. Perhaps, as we pay attention to these dreams, our world is returning to its own dream of itself.
