La Leona Arts needs your help raising money for the Cosmic Daughters Project. The Project includes an art exhibit, a catalog, and events and shows worldwide to bring international awareness to women's issues.

Cosmic Daughters, the exhibit, is the culmination of five years of studio work by Sadee Brathwaite. Expanding on the theme "Universal Portraits" Cosmic Daughters takes the concept of universal womanhood to a deeper spiritual level. The paintings serve as a reflection of each woman's divine spark and honor unique differences as well as commonalities found in feelings, thoughts and dreams.

Cosmic Daughters opens October 18, 2-4pm at The Gallery at Lifebridge Sanctuary in High Falls, NY. The Lifebridge Foundation's mission is to promote the oneness of humanity and the interconnectedness of all life. The show will be on view during Woman of Duat, a woman's spiritual and educational retreat facilitated by the Ministry of Maat. Women from all over the world will converge to attend the gathering from December 4-7th, where they will meditate and explore their dreams, disc uss issues of women's spiritual and physical well-being, and examine creative goals.

The Ministry of Maat, Inc. is a multi-cultural spiritual and education organization nurturing the ideal of a harmonious and balanced world community through the support of women's spiritual and physical well-being. Founded and directed by Ione, an educator, counselor, author, playwright, and artist residing in the Hudson Valley, the not-for profit organization is sponsoring the Cosmic Daughters Project.

Our goal is to reach $1500 by October 18th to launch the initial phase of the Project. The first 10 people who donate over $50 will receive a copy of the exhibition catalog autographed by Sadee Brathwaite and Ione.

Your tax deductible donations will go a long way towards design, shipping, production, promotion and travel costs. In addition a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the WATER FOR LIFE, to lend support to the United Nations International Decade for Action,http://www.un.org/waterforlifedecade/.
